I wanted my piece to capture the right moment just after brisk tranquility. Working primarily with acrylic paint I began by painting the portrait of the enigmatic man, gradually layering and blending the mostly warm colours with cool blue first in varying brushstrokes, from hatching to scumbling strokes. 

 

Once completed, I messily and purposefully covered the piece is crazed and immature strokes of the same colour palette as mentioned before from a brush and a painting knife to give an erosion appearance.
