Research Project Audio Bites
Audio by Andre Rossi, Bridget Mac Eochagáin, Rochelle Schoff, and Caitlin Riddell
The school of arts undergraduate research symposium produced diverse and fascinating research projects from students. Listen to a few summarise their research in their own words and learn about Australia's unique history, complex political relationships, and interpretations of sexuality and the gaze through art: on stage and in the gallery.
Andre Rossi is a final year Bachelor of Commerce and Global Studies student. As part of his Global Studies degree, he undertook research on the lengths to which Australia is dependent on China and how sustainable our major exports are going into the future.
Bridget Mac Eochagain is a recent graduate from the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program at Australian Catholic University (ACU) Strathfield. Her research centred on contemporary interpretations of rape on stage, and its implications for portrayals of women and their bodies.
Rochelle Schoff is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with ACU. She is passionate about rural Australian history and looking to pursue postgraduate research in the area.
Caitlin Riddell is completing her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and minoring in Creative Writing and Visual Arts. Her interests are in popular culture representations of feminity, which she aims to explore in her Honours year.
